Socialization and Mental Health

Another factor I want to talk about is socializing and how that affects mental health. Socialization is shown to reduce the risk of mental health issues, such as depression. Loneliness can lead to many mental health disorders, such as depression, personality disorders, alcohol use and sleep disorders, etc. Friendships help boost self-esteem, which is productive for both mental health and physical health. But it is tricky when it comes to this, because when it comes to friendships, it is important that it is a healthy friendship, where you both bring each other up, and not put each other down.
